The Star Gold Coast
The Star Gold Coast Hotel is located on Broadbeach Island on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. It opened in November 1985 and was originally called Conrad Jupiters. In 2017, the hotel was renamed The Star Gold Coast.
The hotel consists of 592 rooms and occupies 21 floors of a 66 meter high building. There are 8 bars, 7 restaurants, conference rooms, a ballroom, a theater, a health spa and a gym on site.
The Jupiter Theater, located on the hotel grounds, was reconstructed and expanded in 2012. Its capacity more than doubled, and the theater can now accommodate 2,000 seated guests or 2,300 general admission visitors. The theater uses modern technology and architecture to enhance the viewing experience.
The Star Gold Coast Casino, located next to the hotel, is the first casino in the state of Queensland. It is operated by Star Entertainment Group and has been open since 1985. Gross gaming revenue from the casino is donated to the Gambling Community Charitable Trust, established in 1987 and supported by the Queensland Government.
